The unit included two videos to present the strategies of a non effective lesson compared to an effective lesson. The same topic and participants were used in both lessons. In the first lesson the presenter lacked enthusiasm and was not committed to his students. For example the teacher didn't know the names of his students and made no attempt to rectify this situation. In the second video the presenter made an effort and put strategies in place recognize the student's names. A friendlier attitude was used in lesson two. A variety of strategies were incorporated to enhance learning. For example animals familiar to the students were provide by the students then non familiar animals introduced using site cards. Mime was also used to provide the actions of the animals. I thought the first lesson was rather boring so the student's reactions during the video were justified. I also thought the progression and timing of the second lesson was good and the presenter had empathy for his students.
