Conditional tenses are used to ponder about what could happen, what might have happened, and what we wish would happen. In English, most sentences using the conditional contain the word if. Many conditional forms in English are used in sentences that include verbs in one of the past tenses. There are five main conditional sentences in English. They are zero conditional, first conditional, second conditional, third conditional, and mixed conditional. In all cases, these sentences are made up of an ?if? clause and the main clause. When do we use reported speech? Sometimes someone says a sentence, for example, \"I'm going to the cinema tonight\". Later, maybe we want to tell someone else what the first person said. Reported speech is when you tell somebody else what you or a person said before. When transferring statements, check whether you have to make changes in pronouns, tenses, place and time expression.
