Teach English in Jiuzhou Zhen - Qiandongnan Miaozu Dongzu Zizhi
In the Unit 2 I studied the general theories about learning and development from infancy to full maturation. I learned that there are four major theories and who was responsible for their development. Then I observed all the factors and how we actually learn our native tongue and other languages. Another important aspect I learned during this unit is the necessity for us to adopt one particular approach or methodology for our pedagogy. As previous unit stated, a young learner is anyone in the age range of five to thirteen. Because the group is too wide to consider only one form of teaching methodology, this unit will therefore split this age band further in 2 groups : five to nine years old and nine to thirteen years old. After considered the learning environment for our students we will focus at the skills they want and need from our teaching. In the end of the unit I could identify the process of maturation and how we, teachers can adapt our methods to the future changes that will take place.
