This unit wasn't as long as previous, still, I've learnt how to evaluate and testing students. First of all, teacher should know the language level of the students. At this stage, teacher usually uses a placemnt test to form the groups of students accroding to their knowledge. After that, students pass the diagnostic test at the beginning of the course to reveal what do they know or do not. Efficient teaching is impossiple without knowing the students' progress. From time to time (after the particular part of course is covered) students need the progress tests to know weaknesses and items which they have already know quite well. A lot of students oriented to get the certificate (which can help to obtain a job, studying at the universities in English speaking countries, etc.) and the choice of course will depend on aims of learners. There are numbers of external exams: TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS, ect. and each of them requires preparations and special system of evaluation, suitable for particular exam.
