This unit is about how teacher?s attitude, methods of teaching and strategies greatly affect the students. A teacher?s attitude generally refers to her disposition, though there are other factors as well. Attitude encompasses a teacher's level of enthusiasm, resourcefulness, willingness to help and knowledge of the content. All of these play an important role in overall classroom performance. In the two videos the teacher demonstrated two different kinds of attitude which affected the students? participation. In the first one he doesn?t care about his students, he did not manage to arouse the interest of his students since failed to establish rapport with them. On the other hand the second video showed a teacher who is committed, dedicated and concerned. He made a lot of effort in engaging his students so that they will understand the lesson better. I have learned in this unit that teachers play a vital role not only in imparting knowledge, but also in developing interest among students.
