Several issues that teachers commonly encounter in the classroom are discussed in this last unit. From the very first class, teachers will try to establish good rapport with their students. This will be easier to accomplish if they deal with an existing group. Various games such as hangman, pictionary, tongue twisters...are good for warming up a class. When teaching different levels, it's advised to either separate strong students from weaker ones or conversely to mix them up. Pair and group activities are encouraged for large classes and group leaders can even be named to assist the instructor. The use of English must be a priority at all times. Pairing students is a good way of having everyone participate in the class. Reluctant individuals might gain confidence in role play activities. They can also record themselves at home. Always pre-teach vocabulary prior to a listening comprehension excercise. It's important to bring extra material for strong students so they keep feeling challenged and don't get bored.
