In this unit I learned about the most common problems that a teacher could face in the classroom. There is the problem of the first lesson, it is really important to establish rapport with the students at this stage of the course because that would define the tone for the rest of it. It is important to find out what we can about the students so we can plan future lessons based on students' needs and interests. We could face the problem of having a group of students with different levels of English, we could split the students into two groups and give them different materials or different tasks appropriate to their level or pair stronger students with weaker ones. Another problem could be having a large class, we will have to focus on activities that will make possible to involve all of the students equally. Some students wouldn't want to participate in class, this could happen for confidence issues so we have to find a way to encourage them to speak. Some useful activities will be using pair work or role-play.
