The contents of unit 12, ? Teaching Productive skills?, recognizes the importance of writing proficiency in communication of a language. The topics of accuracy and fluency are visited in this unit. One may notice that although accuracy and fluency are both said to be important, it seems that the student will be encourage to work on their accuracy first. The nature of speaking activities goes from controlled activities to creative communications incorporating some fluency-based activities. As with all gatherings, certain individuals in the classes may be hesitant to speak due to a range of reasons and when it comes to producing written work many students may be disinterested. The unit encourages the teacher to create a welcoming and safe atmosphere for the student to feel at ease speaking and also to be creative in the approach to get students more interested in producing written material. The use of games throughout different phases will serve as a benefit to the student and increase the overall fun had by the class.
