Teach English in Chongxing XiAng - Qiandongnan Miaozu Dongzu Zizhi
To me, this unit has been enlightening for the ways that it articulates concisely qualities that a ?good? teacher and a ?good? learner often possesses. I understand that the very descriptor ?good? is nuanced in and of itself and I also understand that the list varies greatly from each teacher and learner because of each person?s unique experiences as either or. But what I do appreciate is the unit?s attempt and willingness to approach such a hefty subject in an open-handed manner, pinpointing some characteristics that have proven to be crucial to the classroom experience (a good teacher?s ability to discern and a good student?s willingness to ask questions as some key examples). What I personally take away from this unit is both the articulated list of what the ideals of a good teacher and learner aspire to and the sense that there is so much more that will be added to this list as I experience the classroom from the teacher?s standpoint and as I reflect on my prior experiences as a student.
