In this particular unit, I learned how to properly manage classes. How to use eye contact, certain gestures, and voice variations. To keep an entire class attentive, the student's name should be used at the end, not at the start. Aside from said techniques, I also found out about different grouping methods such as Whole-class grouping, pair work, groupwork, and students working on their own. Each method has their own ups and down. I was able to learn more about how to arrange a classroom according to the students' age, personalities, nationalities, available space, and types of chairs and/or tables used. I found out how to prevent problem behaviors and how to deal with them. Giving individual attention is important and there are certain ways how to properly give the said attention to the students. Teacher and student talking time is also included in this unit, as well as establishing rapport, giving instructions, and maintaining discipline. Overall, i feel like i am definitely more knowledgeable and i will be able to apply it inside the classroom.
