I'm very glad that there is a unit dedicated to lesson planning as both a guide for inexperienced teachers to learn information on how to plan and also as an example to model lesson plans off of. Lesson planning is definitely a tricky subject to approach from just one perspective because there are so many different teaching styles and methods across a variety of classrooms in a variety of different places. Keeping all of this in mind, I do think it's important for me to encounter some more standardized method of approaching the art of lesson planning. The most important takeaway for me personally is the advice on being somewhere in the middle of the spectrum of having some milestone guiding points and being too inflexible and planning every part of the lesson down to the last second. I think that's a balance that I'm always going to trying to achieve and with practice, I believe that these things will come more naturally. In the meantime, I will use the examples set forth for me in this unit and teach lesson plans keeping all these points in mind.
