The questions in the test increase in difficulty. Diagnostic test evaluates the current strengths and weaknesses of the students and gives information about students? aptitude. Progress test is useful to show areas of class weaknesses. The purpose of the Practice test is revision and preparation for internal or external exam. It should have the style and content of the real exam. The Proficiency tests are three types: general, business, and academic. The general English tests are: Cambridge suite tests and Certificate in English Language Skills (CELS) Business English tests are: Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC), Cambridge Business English Certificate (BEC), and Business English Language Testing Service (BULATS) Popular Academic English tests are: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and International English Testing Language System (IELTS).
