The past tenses in the English language relate to past time periods. All continuous forms of a verb use \"to be' plus an \"-ing\" form of a verb. If to be is in the past, it will be a past continuous form. If the verb to have is in the present, it will be considered present perfect. To be is an irregular form in the past tense.This unit has been a great review of future tenses. It has shown how easily a 'native' speaker let alone a EFL student could confuse make mistakes/errors when using the forms of this tense.
