Unit 16 deals with conditionals and reported and direct speech. There are five conditionals which are zero, first, second, third and mixed. These are also called the IF clauses. It explains the form and usages of each of the five conditionals. In the reporting section it explains about verb tense changes from direct to reported.I only thought there were three states of time (tenses), but to find out these can be expanded on to make a total of 12 was new to me. Learning about the four present tenses has made me look forward to learning the rest of them in future modules. I now understand how it would be hard to students learning English to get confused.
