This unit is helpful because it opens your mind to the types of classes you may be teaching and the diversity of the students. The teaching skills and techniques you would use in various situations can vary quite a bit. Still a lot of it stays the same no matter your students.Knowing the way words are sounded out helps tremendously with teaching English. I found it useful when I was volunteering to use some of the sounds to help students get an idea of how to say that word. Memorizing these sounds will be hard but extremely useful to teach English.I learned a great deal of knowledge in this chapter. I learned how to detect and breakdown affirmative,negative and questions, when it comes to the present tenses. I also learned how crucial this is to a students learning, and I understand how difficult it can be to interpret.
