This unit covered the use of vocabulary, i learned that its considered a good idea, and that the students are very keen to learn the necessary vocabulary early on in their studies so that they can get by whilst their language skills are improving. Language functions such as asking, requesting and suggesting were also introduced.In this unit I learned the ways to teach vocabulary and grammar. I often use pictures and contrast when teaching new vocabulary. This gives me a few new ways to teach vocabulary that I wasn't using before. I also learned about possible new ways to teach grammar and how to make sure they understand it using various techniques.
