This unit covered the basics of English grammar and broke down the standard sentence into its grammatical components. It was a great reminder that every word in a sentence has a particular function. While sentences can be colorful and varied, it is important to remember to structure them according to the basic grammatical rules.I learned about teaching new language. Teachers can easily use ESA methods to introduce new language. Lessons which focus on grammar or vocabulary more use the 'straight arrow' EAS approach, but fuctions-based lessons, such as inviting, suggesting, refusing, etc., are more approached with 'boomerang' or 'patchwork' ESA structures.
