This lesson was important in learning the various conditions of speech, and mixing it with other forms of speech. One helpful area was to use the teaching ideas section on how to trigger students in coming up with sentences using conditions such as \"if\". The lesson helps in breaking down a complicated concept into a simple one.This unit covered pronunciation and phonetic rules of the English language. This was an aspect of English that I was not at all familiar with so the material was very interesting to me. I had never come across the International Phonetic Alphabet before this unit, and it was interesting to link the sounds with the phonetic alphabet.
