I believe writing and creative writing to be especially valuable to students. I have had great success as well as great failures with this. I think mostly because I failed to motivate the students properly or maybe because I expected too much from them. In the future I would use picture prompts more often along with better examples.This unit went over the two types of materials an instructor can use in a classroom: authentic and non-authentic. It simply listed the advantages and disadvantages of using them. The chapter taught things to consider when designing a lesson material. Lastly, the unit introduces how and why an instructor should utilize a lesson plan.
