Phonology is concerned with the system and sound of the language systematic organization of sounds in languages. Personally I feel interested in phonology. However, it may be difficult concept for both teachers and students to teach or learn. Getting the full knowledge of the phonology enhances the student's English speaking ability.Evaluation and tests are a teachers best friend. I believe that students should also be given speaking tests and that all of the major tests should have a speaking section. At the school I teach at there are no placement exams or diagnostic exams. Maybe I can implement them next year. This would greatly improve my teaching relevancy.
