Unit 4 refers to the 4 present tenses and their usages. Present simple form is used to state truths, habits, routines and facts. This unit also shows how to make sentences using tehse tenses in positive, negative and question forms. Present continous tense consists of a subject + auxiliary verb ?be? + verb -ing for a positive sentence. One of the main usage of this tense is when stating actions in progress at the time of speaking or around the time of speaking. Other than this it is also used to describe situations is progress or developing or to emphasize actions that are quite frequent. Present perfect relates the past to the present like, something that happened in the past but at an indefinate time. It is also used when we describe past actions with present results. And the last tense that?s mentioned in this unit is Present perfect continous. This tense is used when we want to tell an ongoing activity which has a likelihood of continuing ahead. One example can be ?I?ve been living in Europe for the last five years? which shows our ongoing activity that ?I have been living in Europe? and will continue to do so.
