A teacher should have a good balance between being serious and displaying too much fun because it can affect the students learning ability. Being too serious will discourage the students from taking an interest in English. While being too playful will not allow respect; therefore, chaos in the classroom will arise. The teacher's duty is to encourage their students to participate in activities and always be able to adapt to the students learning ability needs. This unit had reinforce my experience as I had evaluated and compared my favorite teachers to teachers that I felt were not effective and put me down as a student. I feel like that being an effective teacher you have to provide a great deal of motivation and be able to adapt a little to create an effective way to display the content to make it easier to understand. The previous professors that I had would teach content in a very confusing way and would mock if you could not get it. It then made me feel discourage to learning and I hated to attend that one course. Therefore this unit had just reinforced my understanding and evaluated what I will need to do to become an effective teacher to my students.
