This section was a good review of behavior and classroom management, especially for someone who has firsthand experienced how much influence arrangement or body language can have on how well a lesson works. I know that I have trouble at times choosing language that is clear and simple for students, so it was a nice reminder to think about how my eye contact, my language choice, and my position in the classroom will influence how well the students engage in the lesson. In the classroom, I always try to get to know my students within the first couple of classes through name games and surveys or interviews that not only help me individualize or cater to certain needs later but also establish rapport within the classroom. Grouping is also an interesting consideration; therefore, I'll often make lists of activities I am going to do during the class and what grouping or arrangement I want for that section as well as what role I think would be best for me to play (similar to the roles covered in Unit 2). Altogether, it's good to consider how student interaction affects the specific activity as well as how the teacher's position and behavior will influence the classroom.
