Based on what I learned from this unit, teaching the language in a more traditional or conventional way wherein the focus is only one-sided is not helpful. Teachers must possess the right character, behavior and sufficient knowledge regarding the subject. They must also know the different levels of their students since this knowledge will help them in assessing the latter's progress so in the future, more suitable lessons will be created and delivered. At the same time, the students must also be willing and motivated to take part in the process along with the teacher. There are many factors that may affect this such as age and cultural background, but a good teacher must know and learn to find ways how to bridge this gap. The students should also be open-minded when it comes to accepting correction and the teacher must also learn how to give constructive criticism to the student so that it will be motivating instead of humiliating. The whole learning process is simple if the teacher knows how to control and at the same time understand his or her role as a manager or the class. The teacher who is good enough will eventually end up having good students as well.
