This unit reflects what qualities it takes to be a good teacher, the different roles each teacher must be aware of in the classroom as well as how to fulfill those roles, what makes a good learner, the many different things that can separate each one of your students, and the classification of an adult learner and younger learner as well as the levels of knowledge each student may possess. I have learned in what ways I will be helping students. With the demands of teaching English as a foreign language, I now know which roles the classroom will demand of me and how I must be able to transition through roles when the students and lessons demand it. I am also now able to recognize the many differences between students in a classroom and the basics in determining what type of students I am teaching. This unit has given me a good understanding into the importance of motivation in a student and where some of that motivation comes from. It is also important to mention that this unit has taught me the different levels of knowledge students possess when they are in your classroom, and how to properly classify this knowledge, giving each student a level of where they are at.
