This unit is dedicated to parts of speech. There are nine of them: noun, pronoun, verb, adjective, preposition, conjunction, gerund, adverb and article. Every part is broken down into few types. Nouns are divided into common, proper, abstract, compound and collective ones and also they can be countable an uncountable. Pronouns consist of personal, reflexive, possessive and relative. Verbs can be divided into transitive intransitive and auxiliary verbs. Adjectives define properties of the following noun. They can also be used to compare two things or people in this case they are called comparative adjectives or to show superiority of something or somebody over others in this occasion it's called superlative adjective. Prepositions glue other parts of speech together to form a sentence and can be grouped as follows: prepositions of time, place and movement. Conjunctions serve to link words and groups of words in sentence or clauses of sentence together. Gerunds are nouns made from verbs by adding ending -ing. Adverbs describe verbs and can be divided into adverbs of time, place, manner etc. There're two types of article definite \"the\" and indefinite \"a\" and \"an\".
