Teach English in Fucheng Zhen - Nanning Shi
This unit was about the components of what makes a \"good teacher\" and what makes a \"good learner.\" While this was the majority of the unit, it was not the whole unit. Other parts of the unit included section on what how to categorize the various stages of a learner's progress (ie: beginner, elementary, intermediate, advanced, etc) and the European classifications of the stages of learning. The whole section wrapped up with why student's are motivated to learn a language. Through the course of this unit, I feel I have learned the basic building blocks of how I should conduct myself and what I should look for when I observe other teachers around me. It also helped me feel like I have a ground on which to build curriculum and how to motivate the students I will be teaching. Learning the difference between adult and younger learners was very important to me as I work primarily with older students and this unit has given me an idea of what to look for in younger students. I found the classifications of language placement learning to be the most helpful because now I know generally what to look for when determining how much help and a what stage I should teach the class at.
