The overall theme of this unit was how to teach students new vocabulary and grammar. It goes through what is most important to consider when teaching students new vocabulary, grammar structures, and language functions, such as outlining what students must know and take away from a lesson in each section. One of the most important points to remember is that when teaching new language, what is appropriate to the students is most important. The section also outlines what techniques and activities can be used when teaching these sections in the context of the ESA method and gives examples of what a lesson plan could look like with each section.
