This unit discussed the grammatical constructions for conditional sentences and reported speech. Five types of conditional sentences were listed with examples of each. Typical student difficulties and teaching activity suggestions were presented. The unit also discussed the grammatical changes in going from direct speech to reported speech, including a chart to show the changes in verb tense. Changes in pronouns and time expressions were also discussed, as well as suggested teaching activities. General advice was given to go slow in teaching this material. I found all the material very helpful in organizing my understanding of these topics.
