Unit 17 goes over the physical tools and equipment an ESL teacher may use in their classroom career. The white board is a great tool for organizing thoughts and points of the lesson while drawing students to the most important parts of the lesson. The overhead projector can help a teacher by allowing them to bring in prepared materials to make the lesson go by faster and can also function in a similar way to a whiteboard by using clear transparencies. A teacher can also use a recorder (cassette or cell phone) to play back and critique student speech. Books and videos are a wonderful tool for reference material during the study phase of ESA.
