This unit covered the productive skills of language: speaking and writing. Accuracy activities are usually part of the study phase and focus on producing correct language. Fluency activities are usually part of the activate phase and place less emphasis on correctness, and more on efficacy. We then learned of the different types of speaking activities in the classroom: controlled activities, accuracy based with language controlled by teacher, guided activities, accuracy based but exact language is not controlled by teacher, and creative communication activities, fluency based with the scenario controlled by the teacher but not the language.
