In this unit, I have learnt the two receptive skills in English language which are namely:- Reading and Listening and how to promote the understanding of these skills in different activities to be used in the classroom organized appropriately in the Engage, study and Activate phases. I have also learnt different criteria (such as \"choosing an interesting topic) to take into consideration when choosing a reading or listening material in order to build student interests. I have learnt approaches to use which includes:- pre teaching vocabulary, careful selection of texts,etc to help make student understanding when reading comprehension texts.
