This chapter is the most challenging for me since i am not really very familiar with the phonemic symbols. I am one of those people who relies on the spelling of the word. Nonetheless, it has been really enlightening to know what I have been doing wrong. I thought teaching my students how to spell the words makes it easier but doesn't. From now on,I will focus on the sound of the word. On the other hand, when it comes to stress patterns, intonations and articulations, I barely keep up with it. Everything seems new to me. I did study it in college but since it wasn't a one of my major subjects, I took it for granted. I wish I shouldn't have.
