This unit went over authentic materials, created materials, coursebooks and when to use work from the books and when not to. It also went over the advantages and disadvantages of coursebooks. This unit also talked about different methods you could employ for creating materials for students and what kind of authentic materials are good for students.It was helpful to review some of the points made in the last units regarding boomerang, patchwork and straight arrow ESA. This helps plan effective and helpful lessons that both students and teachers can benefit from. It is also important to know what sort of materials and ideas to use for each of the ESA stages which enhance the students learning.
