Unit 5 is about managing the class such as seating, teacher and student relations, and discipline. I learned several ways to keep the students always listening. For example, always using the student's name at the end of the question, rather at the beginning. By doing this, I think more students will continue to pay attention instead of not listening.The content in this unit has been helpful as it has helped me understand classroom dynamics. Different class layouts and gestures that can be used to promote and encourage the students learning has been good to read through. As discipline can be an issue the text provided some useful ideas and will be useful when working in the classroom environment.
