I studied the four forms of the past tense: past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous. In addition, this unit also discussed irregular verbs, providing a brief list of them and it is something that I feel is paramount for young learners of English to fully grasp as they can easily make mistakes by not being aware of them.This unit has demonstrated two contrasting teaching presentations by the same teacher presenting the same lesson subject to the same English language students. I learnt that teacher's attitude, manner and teaching style as well as the lesson structure and content play a significant role in affecting the students understanding and their participation.
