In this unit I learned about modals, phrasal verbs, and passive voice. I struggled with intransitive and transitive verbs. It can be difficult to determine the difference. However, key words like \"up\" can help decide whether it is separable or inseparable. Also, placing prepositions at the wrong spot can make a sentence look and sound incorrect.This unit was incredibly important to me as I find linguistics and the meanings and sounds of words crucial to teaching any language. I learned a lot from this unit, but I think the most beneficial section, to me, is the part about intonations and stresses. I still find difficulties with stresses, but the humming suggestion has helped me considerably.
