This unit describes the present tenses in the English language. It also provided information on its various forms, specifically its four main structures and the techniques or ideas on how to teach them to the student. The various activities that can be utilized by the teacher to aid the student?s understanding of the present tenses are also covered.Unit 9 is about lesson planning. Writing a lesson plan has numerous important functions such as: an aid to planning, a working document and a record. Too much planning can make lessons rather rigid and stop the teacher being flexible to the needs of the students. A good mixture of lesson planning flexibility is a must to becoming an effective teacher.
