I learnt how to tech phonetics and pronunciation not by the language itself but by phonetic script. It was interesting to be able to understand this code and also be able to teach it effectively to students so that they may make less errors. It was difficult to understand at first but after reading through the entire pdf clearly it became much easier.This was a great follow-up unit to Unit 11: Teaching Receptive Skills. I thought the example lessons were valuable as well as the explanations given about how writing is such an often overlooked or un-preferred topic for teachers in the classroom. I look forward to exploring in more detail different ways to teach writing and speaking in the classroom.
