In this unit, we reviewed basic parts of speech and where these different parts of speech belong in phrases. This included definitions and examples of various parts of speech that include but are not limited to; nouns, adjectives, adverbs, verbs, prepositions, the definite article, the indefinite article and a description of what exactly a 'gerund' is.This very short Unit gives an introduction to the past tenses and their usage. Parallels between past tenses and corresponding present tenses are made and partly explained. Similar to the unit about present tenses, a lot of example sentences are given with remarks of the learners most frequent mistakes surrounding the formation and usage of the tenses.
