Unit 12 dealt with the two important productive language skills, writing and speaking. By covering the process involved in teaching both of these, this unit provided me with excellent ideas for teaching writing and speaking in a systematic way that fosters student participation. I will apply this knowledge to my writing and speech classes in the future.This unit has given me an in depth understanding of language teaching theories, methods, and techniques. It has provided me a framework on which to base my lesson planning. It has also given me a toolbox of activities to use in different stages of my lessons. I appreciated the information on giving students feedback and when and how to make corrections.
