The Unit gives a basic common knowledge of phonetics and intonation as well as techniques of teaching this part of the language. Phonemic symbols is not the easiest part of English since it needs a special lesson so the students can memorise the symbols. Articulation represents \"physical\" level of English and I believe some practice.This unit has been an opportunity for me to revise my knowledge of parts of speech. While the concepts involved in this unit are already familiar to me, they are certainly worth practising, as being confident of parts of speech and being able to quickly and clearly provide information on them as a teacher will undoubtedly be important.
