It has helped me to find out ways to identify what level the student is at in order to effectively teach them. It also has advised me on which tests they should be taking in order to see their development and be prepared for an external exam. It has also shown me various options around the world for certification in the English language.In a way this unit was a good breather, considering it was mostly straight grammar so far in the course. Since I was planning on becoming a private tutor to individuals or small groups, I found some parts of this unit to be unnecessary. The parts that I did find useful seem to be essential in becoming a competent and engaging instructor.
