This unit taught me that course books can be an important and helpful tool if used right. With this said course books should be supplemented by both authentic (magazines, news clips, etc.) and created (crosswords, gap-fills, etc.) materials. Using these materials can better engage the students.I liked this unit. It was very easy to follow and very well laid out. I think that examples are always the best way to go to help with understanding. I would recommend that there were more examples of the irregular verbs and using the irregular verbs in sentences with the different past tenses.This lesson provided a good overview of the different forms of the future tense. It was interesting to see how the present and present continuous tenses were included to explain how they are used for future applications. I also liked the activity suggestions at the end of each form explanation.
