This unit reveals the qualities, roles and responsibilities of both teachers and students in the classroom. I learned about the attributes of a 'good teacher' and understand which role to play and when is the appropriate time. Upon finishing this unit, it makes me to mull over my previous lesson plans and develop a flexible and open mentality to my teaching attitude as well as students' learning attitude towards English. In my opinion, a 'good teacher' is the one who humble and enthusiastic. We, as teachers, however, will have strengths and weaknesses. People around me think that teachers know everything, but, one thing I am sure is teachers do not know everything. There is always so much for us to learn from students. This unit helps me to identify good learners around me. To me, a good learner does not necessarily meant to be academic-excellent but they are always prepare to learn. As a teacher, we have the reponsibility to build and foster good qualities in students. Therefore, we must always ready to help and motivate students where necessary. I look forward to a challenging teaching journey and I will try to modify my teaching styles according to students' learning progress.
