UNIT 12 This unit is all about teaching productive skills in speaking and writing English Language. In speaking the language, the unit differentiates two methods called Accuracy and fluency activities which carry equal importance. It equally brings up three speaking activities in the classroom known as Controlled activities, Guided Activities and Creative Communication. This unit also brings up techniques to encourage interaction within students, Encourages the use of ESA Engage Study Activate as a typical free creative speaking activity lesson, provide guidelines for a free creative speaking activity like deciding on what they want to do before lesson, During the Activity and After the activity. In writing English language some skills are brought up such as Handwriting, spelling, layout and punctuation, creative writing and using ESA as a typical creative writing activity lesson as well as providing variety of games which motivates and makes the class interesting. This unit has benefitted me to know the productive skills in speaking and writing, understand why learners are sometimes scared to talk and therefore encouraging them through the techniques to encourage interaction.
