I really enjoyed this lesson. Being able to have an opportunity to go through a lesson plan and get a feeling for the real application of a lesson with students is very exciting to me. I like the challenge of testing the methods that were previously learned, such as the straight arrow and boomerang methods. I can imagine preparing or planning lessons is no easy task, however with the tips and tricks provided there is a foundation to work on. I liked the task of creating a lesson plan in the task at the end of the unit. Certainly the success of a plan must be worked on and tested, but it was a good opportunity for the first time to really put what was learned onto paper and think of effective methods to engage students and organize study and activate activities based on a target goal for the students to learn. I hope that with the coming lessons I will be able to practice this additionally to the concepts of preparing a lesson plan. I agree that a teacher must be flexible, but having a mental preparedness for what could be done with different circumstances would make a teacher more flexible. Again, I enjoyed the challenges this unit presented and hope to improve on the planning process.
