In this unit, I have learned the qualities between a teacher and a learner. First, it is important to know what good qualities a teacher should have to be able to be successful in teaching English to learners. Second, knowing the roles of a teacher. This unit provides a good ideas on how to communicate better to students and how to handle the class better. I learned what really a teacher does inside the class such as being a Manager, assessor, prompter, etc. Third, I was able to know the qualities of a good learner and their motivations to learn English. Fourth, distinguishing the difference between adult learner and young learner. It is important to know why adult and young learners have different thinking, motivation and appreciation in learning the English language. Fifth, knowing the different levels of language ability so it could help us prepare what lesson to use for a specific student if we know their English level of ability. And last, knowing different motivation of learners so we can understand where student is coming from and their reasons to learn more about the English language. Basically, this unit provides an overall introduction between a teacher and a learner.
