There are several different ways in English that you can talk about the future. The future tense is categorized further depending on whether the action will be in progress or will be completed. In this unit, there are seven future tenses have been stated and also explained their usages and teaching ideas. 1) Simple future tense: The simple future tense is used for an action that will occur in the future. 2) Future continuous: The future progressive tense is used for an on-going action that will occur in the future. 3) Future perfect: The future perfect tense is used to describe an action that will have been completed at some point in the future. 4) Future perfect continuous: The future perfect progressive tense is used for an on-going action that will be completed at some specified time in the future. 5) Going to: going to is often used in the past tense to talk about an unfulfilled intention. 6) The present continuous: This tense is used in talking about arrangements. (An arrangement is a plan for the future that you have already thought about and discussed with someone else.). 7) The present simple tense: is usually used to refer to future events that are scheduled (and outside of our control).
