Teach English in DajiAng Zhen - Liuzhou Shi
This unit is the last in the course devoted to English grammar. It is focused on modal verbs, passive voice, relative clauses and phrasal verbs. Personally I found the sections on most typical mistakes and teaching ideas the most interesting. Roleplay can help introduce expressions of advice and obligation for modal verbs. Same thing goes for rules and signs. Modal verbs is a big chunk of grammar and requires a lot of focus on both meanings and forms. As for the passive voice, its introduction usually goes well with the active voice and their comparison. A key thing to pay attention to here is the auxiliary verb \"be\" and the main form. Relative clauses material often comes down to explaining difference between defining and non-defining clauses, their meaning and punctuation. Phrasal verbs are verbs consisting of a verb + particle acting as one unit. However, there are threee types of phrasal verbs and even though a phrasal verb is one entity, it could be separated in a sentence. The best way to teach phrasal verbs is to introduce them in various context and encourage using them naturally. In time, with all the material soaked, the student will start implementing phrasal verbs in their speech.
